AstroEditor AI - One-Click Astro Image Editor

Introducing AstroEditor AI: Transform Your Astrophotos with Just One Click!

Picture this: You’ve spent a perfect night under the stars, capturing incredible shots of galaxies, nebulae, and the Milky Way. Your camera has recorded all that cosmic beauty, but when you look at the raw files, they seem… flat. Disappointing. Nothing like what your eyes saw through the telescope or what you know is hiding in those pixels.

Sound familiar? We’ve all been there, and that’s exactly why we created AstroEditor AI.

The concept is beautifully simple: upload your astrophoto, select one of our AI models, click a single button, and receive your enhanced image via email. No software downloads, no learning curves, no frustration – just gorgeous results delivered directly to you.

The magic lies in its simplicity. We’ve designed AstroEditor AI to do all the heavy lifting for you, so you can focus on what you love most: capturing amazing images of the cosmos.

What’s New: Rebuilt Models and Enhanced Performance

We’ve been listening to your feedback, and we’re excited to announce that AstroEditor AI has been completely reimagined. Our three core models—Subtle, Balanced, and Intense—have been rebuilt from the ground up with significant improvements across the board.

What’s Better:

  • Sharper details that bring out the fine structures in your images
  • Superior noise reduction for cleaner, more professional results
  • More natural color processing that preserves the beauty of the cosmos while enhancing what matters

These aren’t just tweaks—they’re transformations. The updated models deliver results that are noticeably better than before, giving you even more reason to love the simplicity of one-click editing.

New Models for Smart Telescope Users

If you’re using a smart telescope like the Seestar or Dwarf, we’ve got something special for you. We’ve created three brand new AI models specifically optimized for images captured with these popular smart telescopes.

These models understand the unique characteristics of smart telescope imaging and are designed to get the absolute best results from your equipment. Whether you’re shooting deep sky objects or wide-field scenes, these models will help you maximize what your smart telescope can do.

Now you have six models to choose from, giving you more flexibility and better results no matter what equipment you’re using.

Built for Real People, Not Just Experts

AstroEditor AI is your perfect starting point if you’re new to astrophotography editing or find yourself in any of these situations:

  • Love capturing the night sky but find editing software overwhelming
  • Feel intimidated by programs like Photoshop, Lightroom, or PixInsight
  • Want to quickly enhance your images without learning complex techniques
  • Have a Smart Telescope (think Seestar, Dwarf etc) and want more out of your images
  • Have limited time but still want your images to look their absolute best
  • Prefer spending your time under the stars rather than in front of editing software
  • Want to share your cosmic captures on social media with confidence

We believe that amazing astrophoto editing should be accessible to everyone who’s passionate about the night sky, regardless of their technical background.

Introducing AstroEditor AI Pro: For Power Users Who Want More

While AstroEditor AI is perfect for quick, one-click edits, we know some of you want to go deeper. That’s why we’re introducing AstroEditor AI Pro.

Pro is designed for power users who want creative control without the complexity of traditional editing software. It gives you the best of both worlds: AI-powered enhancement with the ability to fine-tune every aspect of your image.

What You Get with Pro:

Full Manual Control
Take charge of your edits with more precise control of cropping, stretching, contrast, and saturation. Dial in exactly what you want without the learning curve of professional software.

File Exports for Editing
Download your processed images as editable FITS or TIFF files, ready for additional processing in your favorite editor. Start with AI enhancement, then make your final touches in PixInsight, Photoshop, or wherever you work best.

Advanced Filters
Create multiple variations of your image with a single click:

  • Starless versions for showcasing nebula structure
  • Faux Hubble Palette for dramatic false-color images
  • And more filter options to expand your creative possibilities

Pro transforms AstroEditor AI from a simple enhancement tool into a complete workflow solution. Let the AI handle the heavy lifting, fine-tune the details manually, then export professional-grade files for final processing.

Perfect for: Intermediate astrophotographers who want more control, those building a processing workflow, and anyone who’s outgrown basic one-click editing but finds traditional software too complex.

Edit Anywhere, On Any Device

The beauty of AstroEditor AI lies in its universal accessibility. As a web-based platform, it works seamlessly across all your devices. This means you can access it from literally any device that connects to the internet – your desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone, regardless of whether you’re using Windows, Mac, iOS, or Android.

Whether you want a quick preview on the way home from a night of shooting, making quick edits on your laptop during a camping trip, or even enhancing photos directly on your phone after a night of stargazing, AstroEditor AI is always at your fingertips.

Picture this: you finish a great night of astrophotography, and instead of waiting until you get home to process your images, you can enhance them right there in the field using your phone. Or maybe you’re traveling and want to share a quick edit from your tablet. With AstroEditor AI, your editing capability travels with you wherever you go.

All you need is an internet connection and a web browser – no special software installation, no device-specific requirements, and no compatibility worries.

Understanding Our AI Models: Simple Yet Powerful

Our AI models are like having different expert editors, each with their own specialty for bringing out the best in your astrophotos. We’ve trained these models by showing them thousands of successfully processed images, teaching them to recognize and enhance the unique characteristics of space photography.

It’s key to understand that this is not Generative AI – the AI isn’t adding anything to your images that hasn’t been captured by you. It’s simply using AI to analyse your image and work out the best way to apply the many different editing techniques to bring out the best image. It then applies common techniques like background removal, gradient removal and stretching – in just the right amounts – to produce the perfect image.

Core Models (Updated and Improved):

Subtle Model: Think of this as the gentle touch – perfect when your image just needs a light enhancement. It’s ideal for avoiding over-processing and keeping things natural-looking.

Balanced Model: This is our all-rounder, providing moderate enhancement that works well for most astrophotos. It strikes the perfect middle ground between subtlety and dramatic improvement.

Intense Model: When your image needs significant help bringing out faint details and cosmic structures, this model pulls out all the stops. It uses advanced processing techniques to maximize contrast, clarity, and hidden details.

Smart Telescope Models (New):

Three specialized models built specifically for Seestar and Dwarf users, optimized to understand and enhance the unique characteristics of smart telescope imaging. These models are calibrated to get the best possible results from your equipment.

That’s literally all there is to it. No software to download, no tutorials to watch first. Just upload, click, and receive your enhanced image.

For Pro users: You’ll have access to additional editing controls to select when you submit your image, plus the ability to apply filters and export editable files.

These include:

Model – Choose between ‘Standard’ and ‘Smart Telescope’ depending on what you used to capture your image. Smart Telescopes include the Seestar S30 and S50, Dwarf 2, 3, Vespera etc.

Cropping – Control the level of cropping applied to the image: Small = 5% off each edge, Medium= 10% off each edge, Large = 20% off each edge, Auto = Uses our own algortihm to determine where to crop, None = Dont apply a crop at all (Only use this if you have already cropped your image)

Stretch – The intensity of the stretch can be finely tuned between 10% – 100%

Contrast – Three levels of contrast can be chosen, low, medium or high

Saturation Boost – Three levels of saturation boost can be chosen, low, medium or high or you can choose none

Output Filters – These output filters will change the output of your final image by applying effects at the end. These are the following:

Starless – Remove the stars from your final image

Black and White – Create a monochrome version of your image

Hubble Palette – Creates a faux SHO version of your image. This works best on emission nebula captured with a dual narrowband filter.

You can also combine these filters together, so you can create a starless, hubble palette image if you wish.

Output File – Choose to also receive an editable output file at the end. You can choose to receive a FITS or TIF file, which can be further edited if you desire. Selecting to receive an editable file increases the time needed for editing, so if you dont want one, select none and increase the speed of your edit.

Discover Your Style Through Experimentation

One of the most exciting aspects of AstroEditor AI is exploring how different models transform the same image. We actively encourage you to upload your favorite shot multiple times and try each of our AI models on it.

Your galaxy image might look stunning with subtle star enhancement from one model, while another model might reveal incredible spiral arm details you didn’t know were there. A nebula shot might show beautiful color gradations with one approach and dramatic structural details with another!

With six models now available, you have even more creative options to explore. And with Pro, you can take your favorite result and fine-tune it to perfection.

Important Things to Keep in Mind

Let’s be clear about what AstroEditor AI is designed for. The standard version is specifically created for beginners and those who want quick, effortless results. If you’re a seasoned astrophotographer with years of PixInsight experience, you might find our standard models helpful for quick previews in the field, but they’re not intended to replace your expert-level processing skills.

However, AstroEditor AI Pro bridges this gap. Pro gives experienced users the control they need while maintaining the speed and convenience of AI-powered processing. It’s perfect for those who want more than one-click editing but don’t want to spend hours in complex software.

Currently, AstroEditor AI works with TIF, FIT, and FITS file formats, and it performs best with properly stacked images rather than single exposures. Remember, AI can enhance what’s already there, but it can’t work miracles – the fundamentals of good astrophotography still matter enormously. Make sure you’re getting as much integration time as possible, taking those essential calibration frames (darks, flats, and bias), and following proper imaging techniques. Great editing starts with great data!
